Tsunoda Secures Gold

In an exciting judo match, Japan's Tsunoda Natsumi won the gold medal in the women's -48kg category by defeating Mongolia's Baasankhuu Bavuudorj. The intense final match showcased Tsunoda's exceptional skills and determination.


Host Nation France Wins First Medal


Host nation France celebrated its first medal at the Paris 2024 Games. Shirine Boukli earned a bronze medal in the women's -48kg judo event. Boukli had a challenging path, losing to Tsunoda in the quarter-finals, but she triumphed in the repechage rounds to secure one of the two bronze medals available.

In addition to Tsunoda's gold and Boukli's bronze, Sweden's Tara Babulfath also won a bronze medal in the same category, completing the podium.
